Information on this site

The guides explain general rules on water pipes, insurance and water company schemes, with sources. They are general information, not legal or insurance advice. Water company policies and insurance wording change, and your situation may differ, so check the source or your policy before relying on it.

Prices and the calculator

Prices on this site are published figures from the named sources, shown as a guide to what is normal locally. They are not our quote. The cost calculator places you within those published ranges, and the formula is shown on the calculator page. A job is only priced once we know what it involves.

Tools

The water leak check gives a likely answer from what you tell it. It can't see your pipes, so treat the result as a starting point.

Other websites

We link to sources such as Severn Trent Water, legislation.gov.uk and insurance guides. We aren't responsible for their content. Notts Leak Detection is independent and not part of, or endorsed by, Severn Trent Water.

Liability

We take care to keep this site accurate, but we don't accept liability for loss caused by relying on general information on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
